Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich Aktiengesellschaft is Austria‘s strongest regional bank and the most important local financial supplier in the federal state of Upper Austria. New opportunities through new markets and new business fields

More than 100 years ago, Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich was founded as a financial compensation office and has developed into an innovative bank of the future. In total, Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich and the Upper Austrian Raiffeisen banks currently look after more than 930,000 customers.

International service network

With 1667 correspondent banks and 15 cooperative banks as well as a representative office in India, Raiffeisenlandesbank OÖ not only services its customer in its home market of Austria, Southern Germany and the Czech Republic, but also throughout the world with export activities. CEO Scharinger particularly sees Southern Russia as being a market of the future: In order to support our customers even better in utilising opportunities in the prospering region of Krasnodar, where the 2014 Olympic Games will take place, in March 2011, Raiffeisenlandesbank OÖ invested in Krayinvestbank, the largest regional bank there. According to Scharinger, the aim is particularly nearness to the regional government, which owns 97.05 percent of Krayinvestbank as well as direct access for Central European companies in this booming region.

Successful commitment in Southern Germany

Since 1991, Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich has also been represented in Southern Germany with important subsidiaries: Through eight branches, 12,613 customers, of which 8,447 are small and medium-sized enterprises, are currently being serviced and supported.
“It is our aim to facilitate sustainable growth of the small and medium-sized enterprise sector, jointly utilising opportunities with the companies and their employees as well as securing jobs”, says Scharinger.

State delegation of the German Chamber of Commerce in Austria

Since 2010, Raiffeisenlandesbank OÖ has been the state delegation of the German Chamber of Commerce (DHK) in Austria.  In the interest of its customers, the intention is to further deepen contacts with the neighbouring country. In Upper Austria, Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich supports local as well as German companies with establishing contacts and searching for partners or locations.
