We are the bank of choice and trust for fully half of Munich's residents. That's why we can well claim to be "the bank of our city". To set forth this position, we maintain close ties with our customers by having by far the largest and most densely-woven network of offices of any bank in Munich. To optimally serve our customers, and through the working relationships we have set up with the other institutions forming the savings banks financial group, we provide these customers with a comprehensive range of financial services and of forms of investment and finance.

Our balance sheet sum of €15.2 billion (average), our staff size of 2,470 and our 290 vocational trainees make us the largest savings bank in Bavaria - and the fifth largest in Germany (as of December 31, 2009).

As befitting our status of being "the (savings) bank for our city", we devote ourselves to furthering the interests of society and culture in Munich. Comprised in this involvement are our donations to these areas, along with the five foundations that we have founded. In 2009, this support amounted to €5.6 million. These funds went to support 283 projects.
