Institute for Capital Markets and Corporate Finance

The Institute for Capital Markets and Finance ("KMF") of the Faculty of Business Administration at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich concerns itself with questions regarding the organization and functioning of capital markets as well as the investment and financing decisions of companies

The institute's research is mostly concerned with empirical questions in the fields of capital markets and corporate finance. To address these topics, KMF makes use of both rational as well as behavioral approaches. While the majority of KMF's research in the field of capital markets deals with the investment behavior of private and institutional investors, research in the field of corporate finance emphasizes the financing and investment behavior of corporations as well as the valuation of companies themselves.
