Versicherungskammer Bayern

The Munich-based Versicherungskammer Bayern (VKB) Group is the largest public insurer of personal and property insurance in Germany.

"Versicherungskammer Bayern Versicherungsanstalt des öffentlichen Rechts" as a parent company performs the function of holding company for the Group. In addition, as a primary insurer it conducts insurance business with local authorities and other public institutions in Bavaria and Palatinate. The VKB Group is integrated into the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe and is therefore part of the largest association of financial service providers in Germany – together with the savings banks, Landesbanken, Landesbausparkassen and Deka. It belongs to the group of public insurers, that together rank second in the German primary insurance market.
